The first paper in this Research Topic will provide a working copy of the Sciducio framework that can be freely used by others in the academy. We will also outline the theory supporting the development of Sciducio.

While the first article in this Research Topic will provide a working copy of Sciducio, we cannot do full justice to the theory, activities, and tools supporting the different components of Sciducio, or provide examples of use in all environments. Therefore, we encourage contributions from other academics, irrespective of discipline.

Contributions may be made in multiple capacities, including commentaries that suggest edits or additions to Sciducio, perspectives on the theory supporting Sciducio, articles highlighting specific tools to help individuals work through Sciducio, or discussions of how Sciducio was adapted for use in specific environments. All article types are of interest, irrespective of discipline.

Our intent is to consolidate all contributions in the form of an editorial at the conclusion of this Research Topic. That said, we are fully aware that we are unlikely to give full justice to such a complex topic in the space of one article collection. We anticipate that the current entry will serve as Volume 1, with the editorial setting the stage for the next volume. As stated above, we fully encourage other academics to support this journey.
